A Day of Snow Tubing! FUN!

Sugar Mountain Ski Resort - Boone NC

It recently snowed here in the Carolinas. When it snows in Charlotte, it snows twice as much up in Boone! So we took a family trip up to Sugar Mountain for a little snow tubing.

Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures (the one shown here is from the SM website). It was 12 degrees! Way too cold to stand around taking pictures with Megan. Ryan and I tag teamed watching the baby in the lodge, while the other went down the hill with William.

We only went down the hill six times in our two-hour block because William was having too much fun falling in the snow and throwing every piece of snow or ice he came across in our directions.

It was a lot of fun. Even Megan enjoyed herself people-watching in the lodge.

The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything

Yesterday was cold and rainy, so William got to go to the movies!

He barely moved through the entire film, so I think he really enjoyed it. Especially the end credits, which was a take on the B52's "Rock Lobster". Instead, this was "Rock Monster"

.. it was really cute. William sang the main chorus of the song ALL day!

Blizzard of '08!

Well, maybe not a blizzard, but enough snow in Charlotte to shut down schools for the day! It was pretty much gone by 10AM, but we took a picture as proof.

William enjoyed seeing the snow. It must be innate, because it only took two seconds for William to announce "Snow Fight!" and toss a handful at Ryan.

Happy Birthday Jillian

Our Niece Jillian was born this past Wednesday, January 9th.

She is a healthy 8 lb 5 oz and 21 inches long.

Out of the sink and into the Tub!

Megan has finally outgrown the sink. While, it was fun at first, Ryan and I got tired of the huge mess she made kicking all the water onto our countertops. So, we bought a tub seat and now she'll be bathing with William in the big tub!

She seems to have fun now, but she's too young to realize that William won't share his bath toys. :) After a few splashes in the face, she was ready to get out.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

... and all through the house, all the Cunningham's were stirring, preparing for Santa Claus! This year we started all the traditions.

Reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas" to the kids,

and leaving cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.
