Maine is Spooky...

Not really, but you might think so if you've ever read a Stephen King novel.

Maine is actually quite beautiful! And a fun place to visit, even more so because of a friend who's spent the past year learning all the best sights to see.

Jackie and her hubby were stationed in Maine last Spring and are soon to be stationed elsewhere, so I took this opportunity to visit. I'm glad I did because Jackie's inner tour guide took me to all the best places! From the LLBean Boot (had I known this was such a popular place, I would have taken a picture!) to the rocky ocean's edge and beautiful lighthouses, it was very cool.

The highlight was a stop at good ole' Stephen King's house! Leave it to King to own a blood red house surrounded by a black iron fence. Who else would top their fence posts with bats? Don't forget the three-headed dragons! I love it!!

Thank you for a fun trip, Jackie!!
