New Eyes!!

Well, it's the day after having a laser shot into my eyes, and I can still see. Phew.

Click here to see a picture of my new eyes. (Warning, this image is graphic)

Actually, the doctor said this morning that I am seeing 20/15, which apparently is pretty good for the day after.

There is hardly anything different from my perspective. There is a little dryness, but nothing more than an old pair of contacts, and I have a stockpile of re-wetting drops to help with that.

My eye was a little bruised from the instruments they use, but I was told that was normal, and will go away in a couple days.

A big thanks to my doc.
I was a little concerned when I saw that he used a hand held laser, but glad it all worked out in the end.

Great shot of your eye. Not much bruising at all. Did you use a flash?

Yeah! So glad you did it and you can still see. I can't believe that bruised your eye. That SHOULDN'T be a common thing. You should have gotten a discount!

HA! No, the bruises are from the suction ring that they use to make the flap. The suction holds the ring onto the eye so that the laser can cut the flap.

There is another type of bruise that is made by suction. Although it is not normally found on the eye. :)
