Well, it took almost a month (thanks kids), but the downstairs bath is finally finished.
This project taught me several lessons:
- Measuring twice before cutting is not enough.
- When holding a paint brush, your hand is not as steady as you think it is.
- Drywall anchors really mess up a wall, but it is nothing that a mirror can't hide.
- There is not a hole big enough that it can't be filled by caulk.
- Finally, I don't believe that anyone can actually use a coping saw.
Thanks to David for trying to teach me how to hang chair rail correctly. I'll get it one of these days.
I tried to find some pictures of this room before it was re-done, but apparently it was not a room that was photographed often. Go figure.

GOOD-LOOKING BATH
LOVED YOUR COMMENTS....
looks great!
Coping with a saw, like coping with adversity, is something nobody looks forward to.
I'm a little late and wasn't told by Elizabeth that you too were redoing your bath. Something we had in common. Glad you guys had another one to use though at the same time! We didn't have that luxury! NICE JOB!!!Looks great!
