New Eyes!!

Well, it's the day after having a laser shot into my eyes, and I can still see. Phew.

Actually, the doctor said this morning that I am seeing 20/15, which apparently is pretty good for the day after.

There is hardly anything different from my perspective. There is a little dryness, but nothing more than an old pair of contacts, and I have a stockpile of re-wetting drops to help with that.

My eye was a little bruised from the instruments they use, but I was told that was normal, and will go away in a couple days.

I was a little concerned when I saw that he used a hand held laser, but glad it all worked out in the end.

It's almost time. Tomorrow I say goodbye to glasses forever.


First thing in the morning I am heading off to this place to shine a laser in my eye.

I got the buy one get two free, deal. The "doctor" says he's done this procedure, dozens of times before.

Pop Top Can

Ok - so I got this ADORABLE idea from my friend, Jackie. The pop top can craft is super easy to make (see more details on my friend's blog). I filled mine with Lindt chocolate truffles and will be handing them out to my team at work and the daycare teachers.

Most crafts are fun once, but this one was so easy and turned out so well, I suspect I'll be making these again. :)

Icy Twig and Berries

Charlotte was hit by the storm that rolled through the east coast yesterday.

None of the white stuff for us. Only a good coating of ice.

First Gingerbread House

Megan and William got to decorate their first gingerbread house this Christmas season.


Ok.. so it's not beautiful, but the kids sure had fun!
