William, of course, asks for a balloon every time we walk by. Some days he’s not picky, but most days he asks for green. He is always very excited to get a balloon. So far that sounds normal, right?
What is odd is that when we get home, William exclaims “Put the balloon in the closet!” Sure enough, he runs to the closet door and floats the balloon in. And there it stays. Wierd???

That really is weird. Maybe he thinks the balloon need to be with the games, cause it's safe there. The cats can't get to it, and no one uses coats any longer, so the closet is seldom opened. Megan is sure out of reach of it too... Did you ask him about this weird safety issue?
I thought it was weird until Is aw what was in the closet. Of course the balloon (a toy) belongs in the closet with the other games)!
I don't think it is weird. He is a three year old. Isn't just about everything they do weird?! ha ha! I think he is just trying to be tidy.
PS I have seen kids so a lot worse!
Well, I'm sure there is a 3 year old explanation. At what point do all these balloons come OUT of the closet?
Do you have ceiling fans??
You have to ask him why. Inquiring minds need to know!
We do have one ceiling fan downstairs. He put another toy in the closet this morning and while doing it, said "Megan can't get it." So I think we're beginning to unravel the mystery.
PS: The balloons come out of the closet approx 2-3 days later, when it is no longer floating. Then he punches it around until it pops.
And he chooses the color green.... BECAUSE HE'S AN UNDERCOVER LEPRECHAUN!!!!
