Attempt #1...

A friend of mine knows I took a cake decorating class several years ago. The class allows me to make cutsie cakes for my kids on their birthdays, and an occasional office baby shower cake.

Anyway, this friend, she asked me to make her wedding cake! I told her I didn't have the skills, but I'd give it a try. Her wedding isn't until September, but last night I made a test cake to see if it was even possible.

Here it is!

My Babcia taught me how to do cakes when I was a kid. She made wedding cakes for a living. It's alot of fun and a great way to create. You did a great job on your starter cake! It's very pretty and by the time you get it down for her wedding, it will look GORGEOUS!!!!

Oh....very good, Elizabeth! Remember, your Aunt Debbie has made many a wedding cake. She is a good resource for troubleshooting. For your first one---I think it came out great! I like the lilies!
